Tamika and I go way back to our days as NC Teaching Fellows at East Carolina University.  But it was her commitment, positivity, and leadership in NCAE that made me so happy our paths crossed again. Advocates for public education have been battling forces that want to destroy our schools, segregate our kids, and degrade our public educators.  It’s time to double down. It’s time to be bold and take back our state.

Past President of the Alamance-Burlington Association of Educators
